For each wireless network, the following information is displayed: SSID, Signal Quality in %, PHY types, RSSI, MAC Address, Channel Frequency, and more.

Worked fine on my old Inspiron 1501 Dell laptop (whose wireless card was not recognized by other software).

I was able to use WirelessNetConsole to detect wireless networks in the area. Very helpful.

Works as advertised. Gives a bit more usable info on the networks seen.

Limited functionality but it just did what I wanted/expected.No install procedures, just providing the network info.

Monitor the activity of wireless networks WirelessNetView 1.43 WirelessNetView is a small utility that runs in the background, and monitor the activity of wireless networks around you. For each detected network, it displays the following information: SSID, Last Signal Quality, Average Signal Quality, Detection Counter, Authentication Algorithm, Cipher Algorithm, and more.

Not working Did not work at all in my XP Lenovo X61s platform.

I d'loaded WNV in anticipation of the new systen I'm going to set up in my house, elimination all the miles of wires and cables, hubs, routers, brouters, etc. And will report further at that time. Things are looking good so far, so I will probably be able to give an honest asessment in a month or so. Thanks in advance.
